I like the 40 s@w I,ve owned 2 beretta 96 but is it me or is the 40 a very inaccurate round. First it has a flat nose, why, why note rounded like a 9 or 45. i can shoot a 45 with a 5 inch barrell better anyday than a 5 inch 40 . is it me or are there others

Seriously though, you need to try different weights and brands of ammo in your pistol. My Witness Match is very disappointing with 180 gr., but feed it the cheap Remington UMC 165 gr. and it's a one hole gun. Actually all three loads I've tried in 165 gr. weight shot about as good, less than 1/2 the size of the 180 gr. loads.

Umm... not ALL .40 S&W ammo is flat nosed... I have a buncha RN stuff... and my Smith & Wesson .40's (3) and my Springfield XD .40 are all VERY accurate...

If you think that .40 caliber flat bullet is inaccurate, you ought to see what a .38 semi wadcutter will do. Trust me, it ain't the flattness of the bullet that impededs accuracy.
