Its best to post the text of the bill! If I told you to support HR 45 wouldnt you want to see the text and whats it is all about?

Now is the food that bad in Arizona that you have to wear a gun to eat it. Would make more sense to pass a bill to make sure food was properly cooked and served would it not. I can see it now in a bar. Guy gets drunk and bumps into somebody and then demands the person to say he's sorry just because he has a gun and figures he's tough because he has it. Get's gun taken away from him and shoved down his throat.
Bill makes no sense.

And learn how to spell, or at least use spell check. More people will take you seriously...maybe.

^ Grammer prick. Don't call for me then.

Troll. The bill allows our citizens to defend themselves while eating. Sorry you feel while you're not drinking a Bud you can be shot by someone who doesn't give a damn about a law restricting carry. Just because others are not responsible don't take my rights away.

I already emailed Gov. Brewer, I guess I'll give her a call tomorrow.

I heard that faxing is the single most effective way of contacting elected officials because a staffer will actually hand the fax to them or someone important. Is this true? If it is, maybe I'll have to get a fax machine...

Called and faxed, and this is ALWAYS misrepresented as "guns in bars". T'ain't so, Magee, it's allowing my wife and me to go to Black Angus and have a nice steak without being worried about violating the law. Similar to Dr Gratia-Hupp in Killeen Texas a few years back.

:barf:

Your way out of line here. Most non-fast food establishments that serve food also serve drinks. They passed this law in Virginia a while back. It keeps CCW'ers from having to disarm every time they go out to eat.

I hope it goes through.

It passed the General Assembly but was vetoed by our enlightened Governor. The GA couldn't override the veto so we are where we started from, no CCW in a restaraunt that serves alcohol for on premise consumption.

Funny, that's the same argument used by the anti's in Virginia. The one thing that is left out is that in VA we can open carry in a restaraunt and drink. If the CCW in a restaraunt law had passed the CCW would, by law, be without drinking and the ABC manager on duty would have to be informed we were carrying.

A way I never thought about! Faxing!

With the votes from our House and Senate, we could easily override her veto, but I do hope she will sign.
