Can a paddle conceal as well as a pancake?

I am interested in a pancake holster and want one that holds the firearm (Mil Pro PT-140) high and close to the body for maximum concealment which is the most important consideration. But a paddle is so easy to take on and off. Can a paddle holster conceal as well as a belt pancake? Thanks for helping me make my next purchase.

I've never had a paddle conceal as well as a pancake, but then again paddle holsters are more convenient and usually more comfortable.

The answer is: maybe.

It all depends what you're wearing. If you're wearing a large, loose outer garment, a sports jacket, say, you can conceal just about anything in just about any kind of holster. If you're wearing a tucked in dress shirt, it's going to be exceedingly difficult to conceal any kind of gun in any kind of rig at your waist.

Paddle holsters sounded silly to me until I actually tried one. Now I'm thinking about replacing holsters just for the comfort.

I don't think it would be possible for a paddle holster to fit as snugly against your body as a pancake. Just the way a pancake is made, your belt pulls the holster firmly against your body. A paddle holster can certainly be concealed, but it is going to cause a more pronounced bulge than a pancake will.
I carry my SP101 in a pancake covered by a sweater vest, but I would not try that with a paddle.

Well a fresh pancake can be folded to fit your pocket, but most paddles I've seen are at least 4 feet long.

I would still recommend trying to find a way to conceal the paddle though, much more useful unless the trouble is that you are just hungry........

Pancake holsters conceal better for me.
