Can anyone suggest a large gun forum

Political forums can work like a safety valve by giving people a place to vent. This tends to keep inflammatory posts out of the other forums and confines them to one area where you never have to go unless you want to. I wish the political forum here was restored.

You might want to visit:http://www.dirtydozensbunker.com/

Read the top of the page for a preview of what you're getting into, and I'd suggest lurking a bit before you post to be certain you want to be a part of the discussion.

General Discussion is just that, and there you'll find politics discussed. Even a WWII vet or two on board and many VN vets. Basically a conservative site.

Plain talk is considered a plus!

Very open, but Liberals, Socialists and Anti-Firearms folks get ground up pretty quickly.

Regards,
:)

[I don't know about that site. http://www.mdshooters.com/index.php

"The Obama belly aching is predictable and probably warranted but the general pot shots are taking
up too much time and effort on our part as a community and detract from real discussion and activism
that are a meaningful part of what Maryland Shooter..."

Thats straight off their home page. Sounds like they don't want to hear about it there also.

You forgot the rest of the announcement: "So...before posting the anti-Obama stuff, think twice about whether it is really of benefit to the community for discussion or if it is venting. The venting stuff will get merged (into one thread) from now on so that this place doesn't end up a desert of those threads and discussions."

The original poster wanted a forum "where politics as it relates to GUNS can be discussed."

That's quite different from asking members to stop complaining about the President stumbling through taking his oath, or his alleged public housing aunt, or any of the other 10,000 things that us bitter gun clingers can think of to bitch about.

Of course, the original question was about a LARGE gun forum, and I don't know if that makes the cut or not.

I'm frankly very happy this forum stays away from politics. On another gun forum, I was banned and labeled a troll for taking issue with what some people were saying about Muslims and Obama. Basically another more well established member's argument got into him calling me names all the while I responded in more mature, and IMO issue based responses. Nevertheless, they still banned me. I don't have a whole ton of posts on here, but if you look at them all, they are far FAR from ban worthy.
