It's a Ruger #1, obviously. I bought it used. No box, paper or rings.

I'm shopping for rings and there are several different varieties available. The scope will either be a Redfield Revolution 3-9X40 or a Leupold VX-1 (same power).

When I look at Ruger's site, it breaks the possibilities down to #1 Standard, 1B, etc.

Just make sure you don't buy a ring pair for a 77, they use two different height rings.

True. Ruger uses the same rings for all of their guns, just in different heights. On a 77, possibly others you buy a different size for the front and rear to make up for the front receiver bridge being higher than the rear. They come with one medium for the front, and a tall ring for the rear. This would be considered a medium set for that rifle. Buying only 1 low ring, putting it on the front, and moving the medium to the rear makes a set of lows.

With the #1 both are the same height, even though they are the same rings.

This page should help.

That looks to me like a ruger medium sporter. Any rings from the drop down menu after you select Ruger No.1 for any of the sporters will fit. If you work your way thru the options you will notice that rings for relatively normal scopes are the same & end with B depending on height, the stainless rings end with K. After that it will all depend on the size of the scope you want to put on it.
Steve.
