Can Glock slides be blued w/out affecting the tenifer?

Glock slides have a tendency to go from black to grey to near-white. Can the slide be hot blued without affecting the tenifer finish???

Wow. I learn something new every day. I have somewhere around 10 or 12 Glocks and I've never seen one lighten that much. My oldest is from the early 90s, I think 91 or 92. I have carried my current Glock 23 just about every day for the last 5 or 6 years. Do you have any pictures?

Rebluing a glock

Yes it can be hot blued with out harming the Tenifer as the trnifer is applied at a muck higher tempature, almost 3 times as hot.
