Can I unload my Marlin 336 without cycling it?

Question: Can I unload my marlin 30-30 lever action 336 without cycling it through the chamber/barrel?

Yup. Push your lever forward, a round will come out of the magazine, roll the rifle to the side and remove the cartridge through the ejector port. This way the round is never in the chamber. Repeat as necessary.

You might try pushing down on the loading gate and the rounds in the mag tube will come out the way they went in. Once the tube is empty, you can open your lever take the round out of the chamber and you should be safe.
