Is there anyone here from New York that know if there is any provision in New York to have a recall election to replace the current governor because of the new guns laws there?

It's a moot point, because given the New York electorate, Cuomo would be confirmed in office by more votes than he got initially! Why do you think he's doing all this antigun stuff? Because it's popular among NY voters!

Even California got fed up with Davis when Arnold came in and was actually more liberal than him, but we did oust him in a recall election. Can happen anywhere under the right circumstances.

I voted to recall Gov. Davis on account of his anti-gun position and the Ca
'assault weapon' legislation he signed. I presume NY has some mechanism but I know nothing of Cuomo's support. It would appear New Yorkers just love Cuomos.

It'd be a waste of time he has 71% approval rating, this is a case where the minority's only chance is in the courts

How about Impeached.........? Keep digging.....you'll find it.....IMO.
In the New York State constitution, there is a provision for impeachment and trial. That's the good news for New Yorkers.

The bad news is that Cuomo must be impeached by the New York assembly. The majority are Democrats.

Guess how good the odd are. :D :D :D

The 71% approval rating is pre-ban and they probably only called people in NYC. Before he started in this crusade, I had no problem with him (no I didn't vote for him). He was concentrating on real problems and had a record of backing up what he said, as opposed to the usual "say one thing, do another" that we see from most politicians. Now in his quest to replace Obama, it appears that he is going to do whatever it takes to prove he is "the man" to all the Democrats. Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming power NYC politicians hold over the rest of the state, impeachment is unlikely at best. Maybe we can get him a copy of Spitzer's old "black book" and get him out that way.

Remember what led to Gray Davis' ouster. It wasn't the anti-gun laws, it was the collapsing budget and high utility prices. The best way to do the same thing in New York is for as many gun owners and gun companies to leave as possible, taking vital tax dollars with them forever.

Not just in New York but across the country, we need to get conservative non-gunowners to see the common ground we share on items such as taxes, welfare, immigration, crime, etc... I think we are actually in an age of closet conservatives due to being bombarded by a liberal media for over a decade. We need to get them out of the closet and voting with us. That's how we fix New York, Illinois and California.
