..like I have said before in other posts when you find a Taurus that is well made, it is well made..when you find one that's crap, it really is crap.. Trouble is they tend less toward the well made side so if you wanna try your luck, so be it..!!
With regards to that lifetime warranty thing, I had a shooter at our range broke through the bar on the back of his revolver where the hammer hits on when it is tripped..said it was too much dry-fire..Taurus refused to change the weapon saying that he was not the original owner. The only owners before this guy was the FFL in America who shipped the gun to the FFL here. In the end they said he had to ship it to them at his cost and based on the results of their investigation they would decide whether to change.
Needless to say, he scrapped the Taurus and bought a S&W and he is one happy camper..to me the Ruger revolvers are far better than the Taurus revs and are just as price competitive.. you may not get the range of revolvers however..
