I've been saving up for a 30-30 and I'm considering selling a couple of my guns. One of those is a CZ 75 Compact gifted to me by my father. It doesn't hold any sentimental value and I hate the feel of it, can I legally sell it (probably to my local gun store) or would I have to wait until I turned 21. Thanks for any advice. By the way, I'm 20 so I'm not a minor.

The federal law is binding on the dealer and says an FFL dealer cannot sell/transfer a handgun to anyone under 21. Aside from the general restrictions on sales across state lines, nothing is said about who may sell a legally owned gun. Unless state or local law says otherwise, I see no reason you can't sell a handgun as long as you legally own it and obey the interstate rules.

Keep it in the age group and sell it to someone who is 18.
When I got my CZ75B at 19 I loved and cherished the thing like it was going to take care of me someday... and thankfully it never had to.

Finding F2F sales and someone who is willing to sell a handgun to someone under 21 is hard enough. Keep the tradition alive!
