Can the blind hunt in your state?

Colorado says that cross bows may be used on big game only for handicapped hunters. They further say you can't use a visible laser sight unless you are vision impaired. I don't know what level of "impairment" is required but suffice to say, you probably couldn't obtain a drivers license. Follow up with the Department of Wildlife.

pfft, I don't see why not.
If they actually can, why stop them?
Besides! Look at what Zatoichi done!

I've shot 3d archery with a fella and his blind son and I know they have hunted with blackpowder and bow. Blind son draws a traditional longbow and Dad stands behind him looking over his shoulder. Dad puts his index finger between the kids shoulder blades and traces right or left or up or down until he is on target then the kid releases. He's killed a few deer and hogs and turkey.

Legally blind or literally blind?

If you see nothing I sure don't see the purpose of it, sounds rather foolish.

"Help the blind down hill ski, donate money now." :uhoh:

Are you kidding -- I live in California! The blind can drive but only the truly insane can hold public office.

I don't see the problem, so long as there's *lots* of practice involved to the muscle memory and control is that good, and a spotter comes along to ensure the taken shot isn't at another stalking hunter.

And that's intended to be for totally blind persons.

I've heard secondhand of a legally blind man taking, and passing with assistance, the CCW course. "Assistance" meaning someone stood behind him and tapped him on the shoulders to give guidance as to where POA was.
