This is a single action six shooter.
On the barrel it says Sierra Six.
On the other side it says HS Model 21s made in West Germany.
On the grip frame it says Sportsmans of Florida Miami.
Anyone know how old and approx. value?
I paid $100 for it.
thanks

Does the loading lever seem like its made of plastic? Does the gun have a manual crossbolt safety? Then your gun is the same as one I owned back in the 1990's. I bought it for $89 new in 1987 and sold it in 1999 for $90.

It's a Herbert Schmidt model 21S, imported by Sportarms as the "Sierra Six"; Herbert Schmidt sold this same revolver under a bunch of different names, so parts aren't difficult to find if you ever need them.

Did Herbert Scmidt make a SA revolver called the Bison? I seem to recall a .22LR/.22Mag convertible revolver by that name in the early seventies.

They made several convertible 22 LR/22 Mag revolvers, but it was the IMPORTERS that would've decided what name to sell them under; the only name that I can think of that would be close to "Bison" might be "Buffalo Scout", but the Buffalo Scouts were Italian (Tanfoglio) revolvers imported by Tanarmi.
