My friend asked if I could find a approximate value for his flintlock. I have looked everywhere. It is old very old It has the name McDermott scrolled in the side, every piece is there ram rod ect. There is no rust Its a fine looking rifle and I am sure it could be fired(not by me). Does anyone have a ballpark figure, lets say its 95%.

Someone needs to put a hard eyeball on this. There are people making guns the old way as we speak. There were theatrical guns made. Blackpowder guns have been imported from India, Japan, Italy, Spain that I know of.

A friend had a Lancaster PA style rifle of the 1760's era built last year for $2,000, two range sessions, its about 95%.

Too little info to offer a guess.
