Without reading the thread:

THAT'S the problem. And not only that but almost no one who took the poll or posted on this thread has bothered to go back and actually read and understand what was asked in the poll question. The question was "What five freedoms are specifically protected by the 1st Amendment?" I'm willing to bet that most of the poll respondents answered unthinkingly the same way as most people here. So the question ceases to be "Why don't these people know the answer?" to "Why is no one willing to listen to the question?"

Yeah but the original poster is just symptomatic of why 99% of the poll respondents missed the answer. Never mind, I give up. Everyone go back to sleep. Nothing to see here. We are as bad on this website as those we complain about and that is just saddening to me.

We call them lawsuits now. Note that this has been violated by sovereign immunity, which I think is completely unamerican concept. I dont see crowns on any or our elected official's heads.
