Not bad for the price, however I've never heard of that brand. I know Amsec aka American Security. They make a quality product.

I have that safe. I think we found it on sale for 599$ a few months ago and are mostly happy with it. I like the electrical plugs on the inside. The modular design is helpful, though the materials leave some room for improvement.

For the price, I think its a good value.

I also have this one, bought it two months ago for $599. I've seen it offered at this price a couple times since then. It's a very good quality safe, especially for the money, and I'm glad I bought it. Recently, though, TSC has been selling this Winchester safe for the same price.

If I had seen it at the time I probably would have bought it instead. Bigger than the Canon (2" deeper), 12 locking bolts (including 1 top and 1 bottom) instead of only 5, 1 1/4" bolts vs only 1", a better fire rating (30 minutes @ 1400 vs 1200 degrees for the Canon), 125 pounds heavier. TSC ran a special one week on this Winchester safe-$699 and then they gave you a $200 certificate towards any other purchase in the store...now THAT was one heck of a deal!

Best of luck whatever you buy.

I also bought that same safe this spring, $599 on sale at the local sporting goods store. Still not a bad price at $699, good safe, but the electric lock is a little touchy. There are better safes out there, but not for the money. It is definatly better than putting your guns in the closet behind the long coats.
