Hello, hoping I can find a solution to my stupid mistake.
This morning, while getting ready to clean my Beretta 391, I accidentally tightened (turned it the wrong direction, don't know what I was thinking) the Briley end cap I have on it, to the point that now I cannot remove it. I have put vise grips on it and when I turn it counterclockwise, you can see the foreend wood bowing out in the direction I turn. That's how tight it is. So I don't want to crack the foreend by turning it any more.
I have put PB Blaster and Kroil on it, but no joy. I thought about heating it, but am not crazy about that, as I don't want to damage the barrel or the wood with the heat. If I did, what would I use, a small butane torch?
Any ideas on how to resolve this? I think this is my dumbest screwup ever with a gun, and I just want to get this cap off!
Thanks
