My Pietta SAA (black powder cap and ball) grip was too small in my hand. I got in touch with Pietta and ordered an 1860 Army grip frame and steel trigger guard. It's a straight swap.
You may need to do some slight work for a seamless factory finish, but that's limited to a bit of light sanding on the wood and gentle file work on the upper edges above the two frame screws either side of the hammer.
