The Capitan Hi-Power P35 pistol has been, in the past, a legend in collectability.
In reality, it is a FN Portugal made, rust proned, blue finished, cast framed, ancient, single action, with crude mechanical safety, gritty trigger (even for a SA), hammer biting, POS of a 9mm pistol. Gosh, no P35 can hold a candle to a Glock G19 or G17. There simply is no comparison.
But, she is so beautiful. Deep dark blue. A tangent sight which suggests 500 yard accuracy. I thought this particlular pistol was out of manufacture. But today, I found one with blue finish, brand new with walnut grips, a Browning Arms mark, and FN as well, for the astounding price of $570.
What is with that?? Should I buy het? The clerk dealer has no clue.
Does anyone know what is going on here?. I mean $570 for a new Capitan seems pretty cheap.
Opinions Please?
