I am replacing the front post with a low profile gas block and then hoping to eventually replace the carbine length 2 piece rail to a mid length.

I understand that only about 1" of the barrel would stick out, thats not a concern because there will be a suppressor attached.

Is there anyway to make this fit?

You'll have to use a free float hand guard. Personally, I'd go with a longer hand guard that either butts up to or even shrouds the suppressor a bit. Gonna look rather silly having that 1" or so gap between HG and suppressor, IMO.

I thought about that but I may not always shoot it suppressed. So I dont want a long handguard where my hand will be past the muzzle if the suppressor is not on it. Plus I think it looks silly when you cannot even see the barrel.

I had the same thoughts as you but with a 300blk SBR. 8.5 barrel but wanted a 10" handguard, the fix? Get a long flash hider for load testing and non suppressed shooting, KAK makes a flash can similar to a Noveske but way cheaper. Still piecing it together but going with an ALG defense 10 MLOK rail and the KAK flash can, the muzzle device should stick out just over an inch from the end of the rail. I just need to verify some of my measurements to ensure the suppressor will fit under the rail, once I do that I will order the parts

Griff383 - My suppressor utilizes a QD attachment. The idea of switching out the flash suppressor when I switch between suppressed and unsupressed is not something I want to do.

It is a good thought though!

My buddy just did a 9.5 inch BCM KMR on his 10.3 inch gun. His AAC can still fits and it looks sweet.

Yup! I run a KX3 on my 7.5" with 7" hand guards and a Troy Claymore on my 12.5" BCM with 13" quad.

You can get shrouds for most of them.

A 9-9.5" rail should work. 10" would be pushing it and come down the the exact rail and suppressor in question.

If you don't need a free float tube, get the carbine length MagPul Slim line handguard. It's a bit longer than the carbine length MOE

and it's & nice and comfortable in the hand. Weight is about the same
