To be honest i am a car guy before guns. That kind of money can buy a good amount of parts for my car or even a good 50% of a supercharger

Speaking from experience, I'd rather have the pistol. :)

Superchargers are fun while they last, but with the few I've owned just didn't hold up too well. But yeah, man, too much HP is soooo much fun.

Second guess was BHP. Wrong, but good guess. Older design than the BHP.

A friend of mine got me hooked on these hi-end custom 1911's, I don't know if I should hug him or shoot him with one em. It will ruin you for anything less. I have a Yost Bonitz that all I can say is WOW. For the few of you that was Mr. Ted Yost company before Heirloom Precision, but fast becoming a couple of my favorites are done by one of the Old Masters. Mr. Austin Behlert. The first is a 70 Series Colt by Mr. Yost, the other picture is a 1975 BHP, and a 1924 Transitional Colt. IMG_1933.jpg IMG_2980.jpg

Hickok45 will shoot a bone stock glock as accurately and rapidly as one of these, hell a compact .40 polymer at 50 yards even, thus making me wonder how much is just looks and name brand mind you it takes years of practice and tens of thousands of rounds of ammo but still..pretty humbling to see

If that's really the case, hats off to the man. You know what else he could do? He could live on a constant diet of blended earthworms and multivitamins. I sure don't want to do it, though. :)

I have no question that I can shoot my custom guns better than stock ones. Especially my BHP. The trigger job alone made the pistol much more accurate for me to shoot.

I like cool stuff. :)

@surjimmy

I have a pistol that looks nearly identical to your Y-B. Ted helped a good friend of mine do a lot of work on the pistol and even re-blued it before it came to me. My buddy gave it me when I told him I was thinking about getting back into shooting a few years back. That was the only pistol I'd ever shot that had been slicked up in any way. I guess it kind of ruined me.

The pistol has been with me on two different occasions when I was glad to have it. One of them could have gotten very ugly, very quickly were it not for my trusty Gubment model.

As for the other two pistols, well, you can spot a Behlert from 100 yards. Nice pistolas, all of them!

So he's your comic book hero then, we get it. ;)

The care package should arrive tomorrow morning. I'll try to remember to bring my camera to take some pics as soon as I open it.

Any more guesses what the pistol model is?
