The next match at the Carolina Star www.carolinastar.com will be June 5, and will be a tactical 3-gun match. The match will begin at 0900 with registration and a safety briefing, and shooting to begin immediately thereafter. We're trying to start a little later to make it easier to get to the match, but we want to get started as soon as possible to "beat the heat", so please come prepared to shoot(mags loaded, gear squared away, etc.). The match will consist of three COF's; one for each weapon. The "minimum" round count will be: 27 rounds pistol, 16 rounds shotgun, and 40 rounds rifle. The shotgun COF will be shot on reactive steel plates, and the pistol and rifle COF's will be shot in our own version of a "Shoot House". The fee for the match will be $20 and will include lunch.

The tactical three gun format has basic restrictions on equipment.

PISTOL - COF will be shot per IDPA regulations. No optics or compensators are allowed, holsters are restricted to duty/CCW type, and magazine capacity is restricted to 10 rounds.

SHOTGUN - No speed loaders or compensators, and magazine capacity (maximum rounds in the gun at any time) is restricted to nine rounds.

RIFLE - Our standard "one gun/one optic" rule is in effect.

As always guns/gear will be available if you need them. We ask that you supply new, commercial ammunition (9mm / 12 gauge / .223), for use in these weapons.
