Taurus Model 85 .38 special

Recommended for me by a fella that knows his stuff! Just got tax money, I can see I need to get digital camera along with new gun. Maybe a rifle this time! :D

Once P226 becomes a bit too much for concealment then it'll be back to ol' friend SP-101.

Never thought I'd say this...but my favorite carry "rig" at the moment is a Ruger GP100 -(bobbed hammer- 4" barrel) with a clipdraw.

I love it when someone gives me an excuse to post this pic. :)

Here's the daily rig.

Either an Alessi Belt Scabbard (OWB) or a Wild Bill's Summer Heat IWB.

Tucker gunbelt or Del Fatti gunbelt.

Del Fatti SLC-2 speedloader pouches or Hume Pack-Sixes.

Ammo is either 158 LSWC-HP or 150 PMC Starfire JHP or Silvertip JHP.

Gun is a SW M-66/2 3" P & R

Okay, so I'm a moron. I can't figure out how to post an attachment like a revolver picture because the file size is too large. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me a clue. Thanks

I can't CCW, (California) but this is my home defense revolver, and my first gun. The more I shoot it, the more I love it. It's just plain fun to shoot with .38 specials.

Very "worldly" pic Dave.... I like it! Post some more!

Here's a gun that is frequently selected to ride in the coat pocket of my motorcycle jacket when I ride.

But today, I started carrying this one:

medmo - re pics ........

You have 2 choices --- post pic between ''img'' tags from a server hosting - quoting the link URL for said pic.

Or - attach. If you scroll down under reply box, note ''Manage Attachments" button. Use that and small window opens. Browse to choice of file on your hard drive - hit ''Upload'' and when done you can close that window. BUT note, to save time ... before closing, hover on the link that should show for this uploaded pic - right click and copy link to clipboard., then close.

Now go to your messaage again and between ''img'' tags paste that URL. It is the URL that will make the attached pic show a thumbnail. If however you remove the last 6 or so characters, back to a five or six digit whole number, that will be link for full size pic to display.

Find a small pic to experiment with and go to our ''testing'' forum ... and try this out.

That looks just like my father-in-law's Service Six. I really enjoy shooting it, and have asked him not to part with it until checking with me first. Since he has already given both me and my son shotguns, I do hope the Ruger will be mine one day as well.

I don't have picture capabilities, but my everyday carry is a 2.25" SP101 with a Hogue cocobolo grip.

Snubbyman:

Wild Bill's Summer Heat is an FBI cant in black. It is not in the prior picture. The saddle brown IWB holster I use is a Hume M-715 SOOT in neutral cant, but I only use one snap strap and this allows an FBI cant for consistent draw. I've also found this holster to be a decent, if not spectacular crossdraw platform. When funds permit, I'll likely get a dedicated crossdraw rig.

PI Rob:

The speedloaders are Safariland Comp I and/or Comp IIs. I have a very strong preference for the Safarilands because I don't have to fiddle with a knob to turn. I've used HKS in the past so I do have a fair basis for comparison. In the winter with gloves on, the Safarilands are much, much easier to manipulate as all you have to do is push them into the charge holes and the release engages against the cylinder star. In the summer as well, they are just faster and every bit as secure. I've never had them dump rounds. I've had pals clock me with reloads and there is a difference in speed of about one half to a full second for me.

There is a guy on E-Bay (forgot his alias, real first name is George) who sells Safariland speedloaders that are surplus RCMP issue for $2/each on Comp I and $4/each for Comp II. I've bought scads of them (close to 50-60) and never had a problem.

Pictured below is Alessi Belt Speed Scabbard, Del Fatti SLC-2 speedloader pouch, 2 Hume Pack-Six speedloader pouches, Hume M-715 SOOT, SW-66/2 3" revolver. Ammo is R38S12 and PMC Starfire JHP 150-grainers.

Thanks P95Carry.... Here's mine. Sorry the quality isn't so good but I'm still figuring it out. It's my Ruger Service Six with the 2.75" bbl. I round-butted it a few years ago when I had way too much time on my hands. The grip frame is now a Speed Six. Yes, I made the holster myself. It's ugly but functional.

Okay, maybe I still don't have a partial clue..... I'm working it.

Still carrying wheelguns !

New guy here. When I was LEO, I carried a 4" model 10 on duty with a model 49 in my weak hand pocket. Off duty I carried a 2" model 10 and the same model 49 on weak side. That was a long time ago....nobody carried autos back then. I guess old habits die hard. I still carry those same weapons with full confidence.

My everyday backup, carried in an ankle rig. Never leave home without it.

Thanks! The background in the liner of my leather bomber jacket. That's probably my best pic. Here's my GP-100 on a more neutral background:

Big butt, not much up front.

I like big butts and I cannot lie! :D

WRKERR: Nice looking Smiths. The best looking Smiths are the ones that have worked for a living. You go well armed even today. It's not how many bullets you have but where you put them.
