I love Texas!!! I was just at the capital building with my son and CHL holders have their own line to enter the Capitol building no metal detector. Just a swipe of your card and keep on packing

Now if they'd get some of the other state agencies to stop telling employees they aren't allowed to carry at work, we'd really be on to something. The other state agency buildings aren't posted that I'm aware of, which they're not allowed to do anyway, but many still tell employees they can't carry. I haven't figured out if the state agencies are allowed to do that legally or not. (Courts have an exception but I didn't think other state buildings did)
Week before last visited our state capitol building.
No signs, no lines, no detectors, no indications anybody cared at all about concealed carry.
Walk right in, building's open for business.

Hospitals are now allowed, sans 30.06 posting. Carry away, if not posted. The courthouse thing will probably never happen. Judges like the Harry Callahan gun control, "If there is a gun, I want to be in control of it."
