When I am dressed in business casual, I wear my Glock 26 in a CompTac CTAC IWB holster, with my shirt tucked in. You cannot see the weapon at all (barring brain-farts on my part). However, I am having issues concealing the extra magazine (it is on a belt clip). Two questions: 1. Is it illegal to have the extra mags showing (I am in Florida)? 2. Any thoughts on how to conceal it? Thanks in advance.

One of the ways that I conceal the spare mag. is to have it in my pocket...

I just beefed up one of my A.L.C. pocket mag. carriers so it would carry a 10 round XD-9 compact mag...It works pretty good...isnt as fast as a belt rig but it doesnt show either...

I dont think that flashing your spare mag. is illegal (IE Brandishing) it just screams gun...sometimes to people that you prolly wouldnt want to know your were carrying...

No my design isnt for sale yet..so please no flames for shameless self promotion
:D

Look at the FIST #44!

I solved my extra mag problem by getting a FIST #44 holster. It has the holster and the mag as a single unit which is worn IWB and really makes the whole unit highly concealable.

Although the enclosed pics show a very large pistol, FIST makes all of its holsters custom for your choice of gun. A #44 that I saw made for a Glock 26 was exceptionally concealable. My usual carry gun is a CZ 75 and that works well too.

Hope you find this helpful. Good shooting;)

Strong side mag carry?

i have also looked at these types of holsters. However I could not figure out how to retrieve the magazine with out swithing hands because I carry strong side but farther back.

One way it might work is to switch hands like you do with a revolver. When and if you need to reload, put the gun in the non dominant hand, use dominant hand for reload, and then continue on shooting with non dominant, or switch back to dominant. Not a perfect solution, but it might work.
How about wearing the gun a little farther forward than normal, say 3:00 or so, then the holster is far enough forward to grab the spare magazine with the non dominant hand.

This is the first Ive seen a carry holster like this, Id like to get one and play around with, but until then Im just throwing out a few ideas based on your photo.

The little nylon or pleather cases for cell phones are now so common that I have found that no one pays any attention to them. Especially since you wear them on the opposite side from your pistol.

I keep mine in my pocket as well :D

this is the design that I beefed up

The questions about mag retrieval are interesting.............

and I had never thought about them. I am retired, tend to dress in jeans and untucked shirts every day (no more office for me). For me the most comfortable carry using the FIST #44 has been at 2 o'clock (so called "appendix carry position) and this puts the mag at a very comfortable and accesible position for my left hand). I understand that this won't work for everyone but for me it has been terrific. Good shooting;)

Depending on where you work, you might be able to get away with using the sheath from a multi tool. I use one, and keep an extra XD9compact mag there on my weak hand side.

No one ever seems to notice or care.
