Just starting to think about a carry weapon. In a 9mm pistol, which would be better to carry: SAI XD 3" or Tarus Millinium pro. thanks for any feedback.

Which ever fits you better, and you feel most comfortable with. A good holster will really make the differance in carrying, as a cheap one will ruin it. PERSONALLY, with just those two choices, I'd go XD.

I say go with whatever feels better to you. I personally would go with the XD, just because I question Taurus's semi-auto pistols with the exception of the PT1911, but some people have great experiences with Taurus. The only model I owned was the Taurus 617 which is a 7 shot 357 Magnum snubnose revolver. It was a good little gun, but I sold it.

If I had only those two choices, I'd take the XD. The slide on them seems bulky to me though, so I would go for a slimmer topped pistol personally.

What's up Bubba!

Ok, a few things. You'll get many many answers here.

1. Are you set, dead set, on a 9mm?
-I am a small guy, and can hide a .45 no problem in regular clothing. I have seen an advantage with 9mm carry, but only for when I wear suites and dress for work where a .45 wouldn't be able to hide as well.

2. If going for a 9mm...
-The xd will have a better reputation. They cost more due to this. I have a Taurus pt145 I'm in love with, but if I had the money I would go for the xd.

IN THE END, one handgun is usually not enough.

i would personally take the xd! why?
i have owned 2 xd's one was a sc with over 1,200rds with no issues, and i have a service model with over 12,000rds, and i couldn't be happier. i know sa are good to go, they are reliable, accurate and they run and run. and sa has an outstanding cs in case they are ever needed.
