carrying a S&W 22A/22S

I've got a S&W 22A with a 5.5" barrel and a red-dot scope. I need a way to carry it on me, like a holster or sling. So far the only option I've found is a SafariLand holster for scoped handguns, but they run several hundred dollars and I don't want to spend anywhere near that much. Any ideas?
