I have been to Carters Country in Spring a lot lately and every since I moved to Houston. After they expanded, the place is pretty nice. Their prices are sometimes decent, although there are some overpriced items there .
Then theres the range. Its a decent range, pretty clean, range officers do a decent job. The only complaint I have is that the plywood overhang is way too low, I have shot it a few times. If you over 6ft, good luck not hitting it now and then.
Then theres the people shooting there. I went last sunday and I dont know if I will ever go back. There are way too many clowns there mishandling firearms to the point that after my friend finished shooting his new Glock, we left.
Next to us was some "Gangsters" (straight out of the hood)shooting a tec 9 at 10 yards and along with him his buddy is shooting a cetme(at 25 yds), they decide to switch guns and while they are loaded, they are swining them around like its no big deal pointing the muzzle at people. One of their buddies can barely handle his highpoint 9mm to the point that its literally jumping out of his hand.
Next some people go down range after everyones been called back.
After that someone starts firing before the range officer annoucnes to start firing.
Its just a matter of time until someone gets shot there.
