I'm new to reloading, but have taken it up as a cost cutter for my .40 S&W. One of the things I've noticed when sorting cases is a somewhat common dimpling of cases. It's almost never in the same spot on the case, but averages about halfway down and usually doesn't come out with sizing. They look almost mechanical in nature, but might be from loading the magazine? I've been erring on the side of caution and black-flagging all the cases with dimples or marks I find suspicious. I'd appreciate any comments, thoughts, or info on this subject.
