Caspian 1911 frame "in the white"

What is meant by the phrase "in the white" listed for caspian 1911 frames? I assume it requires bluing or parkerizing?

Does it also require hardening or is that already done?

You assume right, "in the white" means naked unprotected steel.

Their parts are heat treated and ready to build into a gun... if you are.
