cast 44 hp for 50cal muzzleloader

These are probably swagged .44 bullets and not cast, but they performed well at 50 yards from a 1 in 48" twist barrel.
Another lead bullet that I've tried is the .45 TC Maxi-Hunter in a .451-.452 sabot.
I don't see why cast bullets wouldn't shoot well if properly sized to fit inside the sabot.
After all some bore size cast conicals perform very well.

My Cabela's Hawken Hunter Carbine shoots great with a 240 Hornady XTP sabot. It's rifled 1:24, VERY fast twist. It also shoots 385 grain Hornady Great Plains bullets (a Minie ball) quite well and that's what I prefer in it. I just think if I wanted to shoot a .44, I woulda bought one.

My CVA Wolf inline shoots the heavies quite well. I've not tried the sabots, but I'm sure with its 1:32 twist, it'd probably work well with 'em. I still prefer full bore projectiles.
