I just unpacked my bullet molds and sizers. I think I might have the wrong combos.
My 44 mag mold is .429 240g swc 44 sizer is .429
My 45 apc mold is .452 200g swc 45 apc sizer .451.
I want to cast and powder coat, will these work or do I need to get new molds and/or sizers.
Thanks for any info.

The size die directions (Lee) say not to size with out lube. I don't want to lube then remove to PC. I'll just buy new molds and dies.
I never slugged the barrels I have three Glocks, Colt Combat Commander, Areo Carbine (all 45 apc) the .44 mag is a 6 1/2" Mod. 29.
I guess I need to slug some bbls.
I have never done my own casting, always used commercial made.

no need to lube when sizing with the lee sizers.

PC will not come off with sizing unless your actually swaging and your bullets more than a few thousandths oversize. .451 is for 45acp and .452 for 45colt etc. .430 is the cast bullet size for 44 special/Mag. General rule is .001" over jacket bullet size for cast or more. But as others noted coated bullets won't lead with undersized bullet. Accuracy, well depends on the bullet bore fit. if you have an oversize bore you might be better off with a larger diameter bullet.
