How many 230 gr 45,s can I expect from 1 pound of wheel weights?

Are they raw wheel weights (unsorted, with clips) or is it a pound of clean wheel weight alloy?

Thirty 230 grain bullets weighs about a pound. But unprocessed wheel weights have a lot of waste.

In case you don't know there are 7000 grains per pound. So 7000 divided by 230 equals 30.43 or as zxcvbob said, 30 bullets.

My rule of thumb is that it takes 34 pounds of lead ingots to make 1000 .45acp 230gr boolits
