Casting and/or swaging airgun pellets

I know this is a firearms forum, but you guys are some of the most helpful and knowledgeable folks on the internet, so I thought I'd toss this your way, because it has me stumped!

After some cursory Googling, I've run into several dead ends in my search for info regarding casting or swaging your own .177 or .22 caliber airgun pellets. I did find several .22lr bullet molds, but those aren't exactly what I'm looking for. Does anybody here have experience or suggestions on how to make one's own airgun pellets? Many airguns in .177 or .22 can use round shot, flat nosed pellets, and pointed pellets. If anybody has helpful information on the subject, I'd like to hear it!

Seems like a lot of work & expense for little if any gain.

You can buy 500 Beeman Match Grade air rifle pellets for less then ten bucks!

Crossman Match, which are VERY good = 250 for 3 bucks at WallyWorld.

Even the very best Match pellets in the world cost so little, making pellets even half as good seems like an exercise in frustration.

Believe me. I'll be buying 99.999% of the pellets I shoot. I just like knowing how to do things myself. It's far, far cheaper for me to buy a package of bacon from Walmart, but I still enjoy making my own bacon from raw pork belly sometimes!

There used to be a guy in England who made airgun moulds-round balls and heavy for caliber pellets with a base driving band like Sheridan pellets. Land M Specialtie was the name (I think-it has been 30 years). Failing that You might be able to organize a Lee group buy on the cast boolits forum.
