I'm doing more and more shooting outdoors and it'd be really nice to have something set up to catch my brass. Unfortunately almost every "attach to the gun" device I've seen is pretty obtrusive for a left handed shooter.

I tried putting a tarp down, it helped, but a couple of my pistols really throw the brass off to the side and I'd have to ask the guy two stations down to lay a tarp :banghead:

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I seen a guy at my local range using a contraption made with a fish net and PVC pipe. He made a stand and then used the end part of a fishing net (removed the handle) on top. He then set it up next to him when he shot. It did not get int he way and was very effective. He also made adapter pieces so he could use it standing or sitting on the bench. I might have to try that idea out.

rc109a,

Believe it or not there are companies that sell that contraption also. I too have seen that at my local range, and it seems to work well, just make sure that the holes are smaller then your brass.

ZeSpectre,

If your left hand is shooting, and it ejects on the right hand side, why don't you use your right hand to catch the brass. :neener:

One of these days someone needs to invent a brass magnet. :scrutiny:
