I know this isnt my thread, but i have similier questions and i feel it would just add to this thread.
I just tried to put my 1911 in a few holsters i have laying around, and in each and every spot on the clock i put it i run into the barrel being too long and not working when i sit.
Im guessing im going to have to get a holster that has alot of cant, ride higher, and use it at 3-9 oclock.
But im sure you guys have some advice,so can you pls state if yours rides higher over the waistband, has alot of cant and what position you were it?
I really want to start wearing my 1911 once cooler weather hits ohio, ive had a hard enough time adjusting to my small PT745 and Kholster half moon.
Dasfriek: mine has a 22 degree cant (I think), and is actually a medium height.
I can wear it from like 1:30 all the way to 4 o'clock without printing.
The only problem with the HBE holsters is the giant makers mark he puts on there.
It pokes me every now and then
P.S.
Heat index was 114 degrees here last week, and I was concealing a full size 1911 under shorts and a T-shirt.
