Figured I present this on THR also.
I have heard all the Taurus bashing a hundred times over so there is really no need to "save me from making a horrible mistake". I already made it and it turned out not to be the horrible mistake the bashers said it was.

Weight: While the G3c is definitely lighter the G22 felt weight is not much more.

Capacity: The G22 carries 15 rounds, the G3c holds 10 rounds.

Recoil: While the G3c has been designed to mitigate some of the 40 S&W recoil the full size G22 recoil is still much softer.

Size: The G3c is literally half the size of the G22, thickness is almost the same. The G3c would obviously be much easier to conceal.

Holsters: These days there a probably just as many holsters for the G3c as for the G22.

Reliability: Both have been proven to be very reliable despite what some think.

Warranty: While the Taurus CS is getting better the gun has to be returned for any and all warranty work. Glock CS is considered one of the best in every aspect.

So given all of that the primary point for me between the two is obviously size/weight, real concealability vs felt recoil. I do have to point out I turn 70 this year but I can still handle the 40 S&W recoil.
Also as I mentioned in my other thread the G22 is one of the most comfortable to hold guns I own. Amazingly, given it's size the G3c is also very comfortable in my hands. For those concerned with possible carpal tunnel mine was fixed a couple of years ago.

I carry a 23 - simply due to size. I bought my Brother a 23 he carries, so we would have commonality if problems arose. I am low 60’s, while he is 70. Either will serve your purpose, carry what you are most comfortable with…

You might check your 23 - they are supposed to be 13 in the mag. You may have some ’out of state’ or competition mags

My G23.3 is my nightstand gun. The G22 just feels much better in my hand which is why it's one of my two options and not the G23. Some in this State have tried every year to get mag bans in place but each time it never makes it out of committee.
I also have a G2c in 9mil but it's my truck gun though I am considering putting my G3 (also 9mil) in that capacity.

Is it designed ground up as a .40, or is it a .40 version of a 9mm?

The G3C is more appropriately compared with the G27, the "baby Glock".

Why the Glock 22, and not the 23? Gen 5, or an earlier generation?

There may be more holster options for the G3C than you need, but it is unlikely there are as many options as there are for the G22. Remember, up until the Gen 5 guns, the G17 and G22 used the same holsters. Outside perhaps the 1911, there is probably no more common holster option than the G17/G22.

While the G3C and G22 are probably plenty reliable, and durable, remember the primary reason there is a Gen 5 is because of the Gen 4 G22. The Gen 5 G22 finally uses a slide designed for the .40 S&W rather than being simply a G17 with a .40 S&W barrel.

Everyone has their preferences and the number of available holsters in this instance is of minuscule importance. I don't even know why I mentioned it. Thanks for the info though. However I have absolutely no interest in buying a gen 5. I have three Glocks and that's the most I will ever own unless someone gifts me one, I'm done buying guns. My birthday is coming up in May.......

My answer to your original question - none of the above.
What other Glocks do you own?

Somewhat related: I actually shoot the G27 better than G23 or G22.

My gun fund is tapped out and I have no plans on buying any more so for my own personal reasons these are my two preferred choices. However if I did have enough to buy a gen 5 I'd spend it on an Uberti or Pietta 1873 clone.

Sorry but those are the two choices I've decided on regardless of what others I own including my G23.3. Not interested in any others, but thanks anyway.

I love my G22 but I'm leaning more and more towards my G3c. Primarily because it's more naturally pointing for me and while the recoil is a bit more snappy I can still easily handle it. Besides it's much easier to conceal. Who knows, 10 years from now (if I'm still around) the only recoil I'll be able to handle will be my TX 22 or P 17........... 😄

If I had to carry one of the OP choices, I would choose the G3c.
I've got a couple G2c and 1 G3c, and I can't find anything wrong with them.
They are comfortable in my hand, accurate enough, easy to conceal and are light.
FYI, the G3c and G2c will fit in Springfield XD holsters.

Since you already have a Glock, I'd say get the G3C.
I bought the G3c maybe a year before I bought the Glock and the G2c (9mil) prior to the G3c. At the time I wasn't interested in Glocks due to the fact that they felt like I was holding a brick. It wasn't until it hit me that I could grind and sand on the Glock grip to make it fit my hand. Yeah, I was a little slow on the uptake....... 🤣

Ok, I misunderstood the question in the opening post 😁 In any case, I would still choose the G3C over the G22 as a concealed carry pistol 😁

I really like the 40 S&W round.. the 27 makes a fine concealed carry option.. at this time I only own 3 pistols in 40 S&W a 27 , 23 and a Charter Arms revolver.. the 27 and CA never make it deep in the safe .. just recently I started carrying the 23 more often.

Seems like you can pick up a LE trade in Glock in 40 S&W at very favorable prices…
I have owned quite a Glocks in my life .. but I have only purchased one new the rest were used.

Yup the G27 does make a great CC except for me........ Kinda hard to control it with only two fingers holding on to that super short grip.......

Decided my primary would be the G3c. Ordered an Alien Gear Shapeshift 4.0 IWB holster for it.

However I might pick up another Alien Gear IWB for the G22 and make it a rotation gun. I'm also considering adding my Girsan Hi Power clone (MC P35) to the rotation also. Unfortunately I don't think Alien Gear makes a holster for it, I will probably contact their CS and find out.

I was also considering my Beretta 85BB but it takes a team of horses to rack......... By the third rack I'm leaving skin in the serrations!

My Shapeshift holster arrived yesterday and so far I love it. I like the modular setup and mine came with an additional shell. At first I though it was a left hand mount but figured out it’s the back shell to mount to a paddle attachment. Since I didn’t buy the whole core system I didn’t get the paddle, lesson learned. Also this holster is for the G2C as they’re not making the Shapeshift holsters for the G3C.
I also plan on getting the shell for my M&P 40c.

Might also pick up one for my G22.4.
