Thanks for the info but I just bought three boxes of Winchester 555 22lr for $23/box at Walmart. 1665 rounds for just about $74 out the door.

Well, CTD is doing their part in supplying the desperate. I'm curious to see how long they survive when this ends. $59.95 per hundred? LOL, that is about as bad as I've seen. Pre-Newtown they were $7.99 on the high side.

I have ordered from CTD during normal times. Yes, I remember the elevated prices on magazines duirng the last shortage period. But I have never ordered any of that stuff. I would never buy a 100ct box of CCI 22LR ammo for $60. That is just stupid. I don't have to shoot that much.

Has anyone actually called them to see if the pricing was accurate for a 100ct box of CCI 22LR. I find it hard to believe that it is a real number.

Pricing.... I stopped at a local gunshop the other day when I was passing by. Was curious what their stock was like in firearms. They had firearms galore. My eyes landed on a "new" M63 Smith..... priced at $820. I may be a bit of a fool at times, but they had it priced above MSRP. Add on top of that, I think the gun was used. It was too dirty to be a new gun as they claimed. I just left. They are about to loose a regular customer over this kind of stuff. I can't trust them any more.

The same thing is happening or going to happen with CTD. Customers will scrutinize pricing and service after this shortage period ends and they will suffer.

At that price I think I would rather use up the last of my old Remington .22 ammo (which I truly dislike using because of all the problems I have with it), than give in to that kind of extortion.

I love your reply guys. I do hope they just belly up myself!! Its just not american what there doing.
After complaining about Walmart ctd sure makes them look good lol. I think cabelas, midway USA, and gander mint will get my bus. As well as my LGS.

CTD is probably the most dis-honest, selfish, scammer company in the Gun Industry. Ever since NewTown they have attracted new customers (afraid of ammo and gun bans) that apparently have money ($) and do not know the market.

Boosting .223 up to $2 a round, 100 round of CCI for $60....this is COMMON for these crooks.

I will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME with this SCUM-BAG organization. They have perfected the RIP-OFF and have no regard for their honest customer base (Us).

If I ever run into these guys at SHOT (show) I plan to VOMIT on their display counter. :cuss:

I urge you not to spend your honest money with this company.

Bob

The unfortunate thing is for those of us who have been around awhile...CTD used to be a great company with competitive prices.

The last time I purchased anything from CTD was about 10 years ago. Before they started jacking up their prices, they first jacked up shipping charges significantly (they almost doubled for no reason, and buying ammo from them was really bad).

It seems there are still enough sheeple in the market to buy from them, which continues to validate their business model. I'm hoping these people wake up.

I was a good CTD customer. They still send me their catalogs. I use them to light the fireplace. Haven't made a purchase from them in 5 years and probably never will again.

I hope they choke.

I haven't ordered from CTD for quite a while, but they still send me there catalogue. I noticed they don't even bother to list the prices in the ammo section. It will be a cold day in Haitis before they get any of my money ever again.:cuss:

7.62x39 is selling-elsewhere-for a good bit less, .25/rd.
5.45x39 for .18/rd. Modern Russian combat ammo.
7.62x54R for approx. .20/rd. These were on Gunbot today.

The novices and gullible seasoned shooters actually pay a fair bit More than that for puny .22LR, when they could be blasting apart concrete chunks with both SKS/AK-47, 74/Mini 30
rounds.
It is so strange that the type used in "The Winter War", "Enemy At The Gates (Stalingrad snipers)", 'Russian Front' costs much less.
Truly baffling:D.

You could get 100 rounds of eley target for cheaper than that. They also have .17 HMR for a buck a round
