I already have one pistol being finished by Birdsong in Black T. I'm considering sending another to CCR for their ceramic finish. Anybody have one of these finishes??

I do. It's pretty inexpensive and it's a good finish no doubt. The surface will probably be "slicker" than the regular surface and so far it's proved durable.

Which finish is that and how is it holding up?

The finish on that slide is so pristine I'm forced to invent a word to describe your gun. "Plastical" seems about right! Truly that finish looks wonderful contrasting against the polymer.

I have a Sig 239 with the ceramic finish. It holds up well. I also have a 229 with the regular Nitron finish and it shows normal holster wear, the ceramic does not.

CCR does incredible work. They may take a while but Its worth the wait.

This is there duracoat "brushed stainless" color on mate black frame.

Its very durable.

Apologize for my late reply, but the finish holds up real well. Inside of the slide around the firing pin and areas of friction there is a little discoloration, but nothing that to be unexpected from general use. Outside, the finish is more slick, almost ceramic-like. The color is brushed stainless, and yes, CCR does fine work and a reasonable price!

i live in fla and the humidity wreaks havoc on firearms, i had my hk 91,93 coated by birdsong.this eliminated the need for lubrication and is virtuely impervious to the elements including sweat.their attention to detail is remarkable, way surpassing the original hk finish.

OK, I'm interested in this CCR company. But where? who? As I have to admit, I just flunked the Google test and could not find a company website. If one of you satisfied customers can please post a link or email address.......

Thanks.

Sig 226

I recently bought a used Sig 226 with a ceramic coating. Haven't had it long enought to speak to durability, but it certainly looks great! The color of the coating is a very light tan and it looks fantastic against the black frame.
