CCW-friendly University: Do any exist?

Not surprisingly, those states that are very selective about who gets a permit (i.e. not many regular folks but mostly the politcally well-connected), like CA and MD, tend to be the least restrictive abt places where one may CCW, such as schools and colleges. Then, as happened in MI, once a state becomes shall-issue or otherwise loosens restrictions on CCW the places where one can carry get severely restricted.

In Michigan, I believe the classrooms/buildings are restricted, not the general campus. I am not sure of this, but pretty sure this was changed just recently.

What you have to understand is that in many cases, whether or not the University is CCW friendly does not matter as the law may preclude weapons on campus or weapons in buildings. So, it isn't a matter, necessarily, of the school itself in most cases.

Check Alaska. They have no CCW requirement, meaning anyone can carry without a permit. I bet that includes the state college campuses.
