I'm trying to find a IWB holster for my HK P2000SK. I found one company that makes a holster specifically for the P2000sk, Bulman holsters. There are two types that I can get, one with regular belt loops and one with their "talon" clips. Any benifits to either?

The Bulman's are leather, I'd really like to find a kydex holster, but nobody seems to make them yet.

suggestions?

I could be wrong but I think these people either make them or will make them for you http://www.fist-inc.com/ I have a FIST holster for my G19 and I *DO* like it! I didn't see it on the list of guns but it would be worth calling them.

I saw a post on another site that Blade Tech might be a choice. The poster said that he was sending his to them to make a mold.

as far as loops vs clips, the clip is faster/easier on and off. the loops are more secure. i've tried both and i prefer the loops with various types of clip for various handguns they've all moved around too much.

If you are serious about self defense, get a holster and mag pouches with belt loops. With a quality belt, your gear will stay secure and not shift around. It kills me when I see someone with an expensive pistol carrying it in a cheap nylon/velcro type clip holster.

I agree with kihnspiracy about the nylon/velcro holsters, but not so much with the loops vs. clip argument.
I carry a Beretta 96 in a Galco Scout holster. It's a good, leather IWB that uses a clip. I often wear it for 16 hours of more, occaisionally for over 24. I've found it to be a very good holster, comfortable and secure while still allowing a smooth draw. The holster does move around a little bit, and I'm guessing that the loop type holster would hold in the same spot better. I use a Galco clip on single mag carrier as well.

I haven't tried any of the loop holsters, but I have been comtemplating getting a Galco Summer Comfort or Royal Guard holster for the Beretta and/or for my 1911. In fact, I just ordered a Galco Summer Comfort for the Sig 229 I recently bought.

Fobus is good; or those with TWO loops are good, but...

The holsters with a single loop (on the back-side of the holster), bad. They flop all over and wonder like a dog off its leash! I like my leather with two loops though. I personally have about 9 different holsters. Each has it own unique quality and makes it apporpriate for different clothing, and situations.

If you are wanting something you will be taking on and off fairly often, and want OWB carry, look at paddle holsters. I have never seen a clip I liked for OWB carry. I have used them for IWB carry a few times but not my first choice.

Update and observations...

I just got the Galco Summer comfort holster for my Sig and have been wearing it for a few hours.

Plus: It is VERY stable. The gun does NOT move.

Minus: It is a bugger to get off and on. If you need to remove your holster during the day, the clip/paddle would be the way to go. If you're just going to put the thing on and leave it, the loops are what you want. I have been very happy with the Scout holster, but now I'm defintaly geting Summer Comfort holsters for my other pistols.

Belt or Clip

I have a box full of holsters that I've tried through the years, go with the loops. Make sure they are the same size as your belt (1 1/4", 1 3/4" etc).

As others have said; the clips work, but they will move and shift during extended wear. A good holster with loops cut for a good belt will keep your handgun in place. When you need it, you want to know where it is, not go looking for it. When 1/100ths of seconds count it can make all the difference.
