J clips vs. Belt Loops on a holster

J-Clips vs. Belt Loops

Are there any advantages to having one vs. the other on a holster? Will the J-clips work equally well as the loops?

If you are talking about something like what Galco puts on some of their IWB holsters, then I like them more than regular belt loops.
