CCW Magazine, new price$$

Many here probably saw the earlier threads about this magazine.
If you didn't, just do a search.
Anyway, when first advertised I was very interested but was a little put off by the price, about $44 for a year of 6 issuses. It was brought to my attention by a poster over at another board that the price has been greatly reduced. Currently you can get 8 issues ( one year) for about $25. I signed up for a year to try them out. Just wanted to let those that may have been put off by the high price in on this info.

Is this the one that had the cover price of about $10 a while back?
 
I have been put off by gun magazines lately. It seems like I can get just as good of information from people here on THR that I actually trust. Some of the reviews I have seen on gun rags really makes me wonder.
 
Is this the one put out in Wisconsin and gives "fair" reviews about carry guns?

I completely agree with you. However it is sometimes nice to look at something to read and not stare at a computer screen. Take it with you to the john, lay in bed, sit in your Jeep, etc. Thats why I like them.
 
I got a sample of this magazine earlier, and would have subscribed except for the price. I believe next month I will send off my subscription for it with the new pricing. It is a good mag for the daily CCWer.
 
I just subscribed at the new rate. I think their circulation will soar at the new price. Seems to have good, objective reviews of concealed carry products and interesting articles.

Spread the word. Maybe with larger circulation they will expand issues per year or lower price even more. :D

Funny, they have a logo and a link for the "UNITED STATES CONCEALED CARRY ASSOCIATION" on their cover.

Did a google search on United States Concealed Carry Association and got nothing on it. When I clicked on the link it took me back to a page on their site that says they own the "United States Concealed Carry Association".

I am not going to send $25 buck to anyone unless I know what I am getting. They stopped their sample issue program.

Oh well.
