The lever on the rear of the frame is the ambidextrous decocker. Pushing it down releases the cocked hammer to a "half-cock" notch, from which the pistol can be fired in double action mode, if so desired. The double action trigger pull, though somewhat heavy, is exceptionally smooth.Can you tell me if the new HP DA's have the bass ackwards up for fire and down for safe like the old BDM's?
If that's true it looks like they implemented it better on this model though. Does it use 15 round mags? How do you like the sites?
Traditional Hi-Power magazines do not fit the HP-DA, but according to a post on FNHiPower.com, the HP-DA's magazines do fit and function in the Hi-Power pistol.I think the DA mags are different from the traditional hi-power mags. I don't think they're interchangeable.
