Cdnn sports Colt LPK, legit?

Colt's Competition Series are licensed products of New Colt Holding Corp., and are manufactured under License by BOLD IDEAS TEXAS.

CDNN is generally a legit company. However, the Colt Competition stuff is licensed from Colt so it's not actually Colt. I don't know what that parts kit is. The trigger doesn't look like a standard trigger. Might be good stuff.

Are you after a better trigger? I'd be inclined to try this ALG kit.

Honestly, there are so many decent parts kits out there; Daniel Defense, CMMG, Spikes, RRA, etc. etc. I've had two truly bad LPKS--> DPMS and a S.S. kit from AIM which came from RGUNS (explains the crapiness). I was quite impressed with the last CMMG kit I got. The problem with evaluating LPKs is that being unremarkable is quite possibly indicative of being good.

If you want to feel all warm and fuzzy inside about having milspec type parts, Daniel Defense is probably your best bet.

Ok, thanks. I thought they were true colt parts. The trigger is a non issue as il be using an SSA. Went with the Daniel Defense lpk instead!

Even Colt guns come with LPKs from other companies. Colt has the ability to produce every part of an AR, but that doesn't mean they do. All the Colt lpks I have seen online have has Schmid Tool markings on them, as has the Colt OEM that my friend just bought.

I spent a bunch of money on one build getting all Colt lower parts from a colt only distributor, and another build I just used a lower parts kit from G and R tactical for half the price. The only thing different about the genuine Colt parts was they were all the same dark grey color so everything matched. The G and R kit will let you add a trigger of your choice.

I have a Colt Competition Lower and I used the Colt Match LPK from CDNN when I put it together. It has a coated, bobbed hammer that looks well made (NiB?, Flash Chrome?). It has quite the smooth release for a single stage AR trigger. It shipped in a box with the Colt logo on it, so it's goode enough for Colt to lend it's name to. Which in the modern world is what most name brands are anymore. I have a couple more of the lowers and am planning on doinig the same LPK. I should order that sooner rather than later since CDNN is a closeout place for the most part and when they are gone, they are gone.
