Lower Parts Kit: DD or Spikes Enhanced?

I love the Spikes Enhanced, includes the awesome Ergo grip, their NiB trigger (great trigger) and the anti-walk pins (look good, peace of mind as round counts rise). Ships with an ambi safety, which is good even if you aren't southpaw because either A.) someone else is shooting your gun or B.) you need to do a weak-side transition. The other little tidbit I really like is the larger trigger guard. Great feature for shooting with gloves.

Not knocking, but just an FYI to the OP, since this is going to be his first build. Don't add parts unless you have a reason for adding them. Parts like the anti-walk pins and ambi safeties.

If you really consider the AR for what it is, it really is a pretty ingenious piece of hardware. As it is designed, you can almost completely strip an AR with nothing more than the tip of a bullet so that you can take care of things in the field (either at the range or ten miles from camp). Things like a disconnector that quit working or a safety that has something lodged under it. If you add things like anti-walk pins and/or ambi safeties, you need to make sure that you have the tools to take them apart, if you need to. I don't like to add anything to my walking around ARs that would require the use of tools to field service my rifle.
