Has anyone here ever ordered any of the CDs from surplusrifle.com (forexample the assembly/disassembly CD or one of their annual CDs, or their BIG CD)? If so please let me know what you thought of them. I am ordering a couple already but, I do want to get an idea from more experienced collectors as to whether or not the content of these CDs is on the money when it comes to talking about surplus firearms, how to shoot them, how to assemble/disassemble them, how to clean them and if their manuals are proper & correct - or if they are just so much BS. Any feedback on them would be appreciated.

For those who don't know to what I am referring, you can check them out at this site http://www.surplusrifle.com/CDROM/index.asp.

Thanks

All the best,
Glenn B

Awesome link! Thanks, I just downloaded a couple manuals.

About SurplusRifle, I've wondered about that product too. In their website, they do have a few downloadable PDF documents. I wonder if the CD is merely those documents or if there's more. Let us know if you find out!

I'm planning on buying a complete set just for the service the website performs and on buying a couple more as gifts. I like the site quite a bit.

You can get a lot of manuals in PDF format for free. Login info can be found at the top of the page.

Not to toot my own horn, but if you go to our website http://copfirearms.com/cpg135 you will find PDF manuals for firearms, about a thousand targets as well as other goodies. It's all free, no need to register.

If you want access to the full auto plans, send an email with your website and who your are, can't just give these to anyone :)

Well, you hit my two main reasons for buying two CDs from them. One that I will be giving as a gift, the other that I wanted to give them some financial support. I started this thread mainly to see if I should give this as a gift to someone. I did not want to give it to someone if not factually correct (I sure would ot know just by reading them as I am not all that into tinkering with guns.) The other reason is that I wanted to help support their site because if not for them I probably would have trashed my Yugo SKS model 59/66; instead their site explained what I needed to do to take it aprt, clean it, put it back together and assure it shot properly. They have a good site.

A couple of my friends have purchased from them before, no complaints from them either...

Most sites have crap for materials or duplicate from other sites.
They have a great selection to choose from.
Thats my 2 cents :)

The manuals can be downloaded for free, but if you want to help biggerhammer you can make a donation.

I gave the guy $5.00 for two manuals.
