Has anyone had any experiences with the C39 Ak made by CAI? Currently I'm in the market and have been doing tons of research but can't find much. I'm deciding between a milled 1960 polish or the C39. Currently I'm learnign towards the polish 1960 because its a little cheaper and i dont think your tried an true ak can go wrong, but it would be nice to have an ak with rails and polymer furniture.

I dont want an arsenal. Everytime I ask peopel tell me to get an Arsenal. theyre not that great.

But i also dont want a wasr, money is not a problem at all for me.

What I am thinking of doing is gettign the C39 or 1960 and gettign a new chrome lined barrel and keeping it as a spare until the default barrel puffs out.

Neither are Polish.

If you have money, find a used Arsenal somewhere (at least then, you'll have a somewhat milspec gun, but hopefully won't have to pay the "Arsenal tax")

The "Polish 1960" and the "C39" are Century mixmasters, whose major components are not milspec.

People don't seem to get it. I don't give a crap if it's milspec; if its milspec doesnt mean its actually better. I want the best gun for my money, and I know these are Aks, but there can still be a line between good and bad AK. Now, can SOMEONE please answer, the centurion C39 or the Polish 1960?

now comparing the 1960 vs the C39, will both have a decent supply of spare parts? Since the C39 is american made does this mean that no surp parts will work in it?

Am i better off gettin the 1960 and replacing wooden furniture with polymer?

or an arsenal SGL21? I know its stamped but its got chrome liend bore

Dude... don't muck with nalioth. I haven't been here long but he is the resident AK guru. If you want the BEST Ak for the money, get a Saiga and convert it. American made AK's are, for the most part, crap. Milspec parts are held to a higher degree than non milspec, so you'll get more for your money to buy the milspec parts. Most of the CAI cobble-jobs are just that. It will run, but how well and long is unknown.

I have a wasr [regular furniture] and a nodak spud [under fold]. I paid a hefty price for the nodak durning the obama scare. I like them both.
