Anybody have any experience with the Century Arms AMD-65? I've been looking at those and the Century Yugoslavian Underfolders. If I end up getting an AK from one of the local shops, it's likely to be one of these two. Any info will help. Just need to know if they are good solid options. I don't know about ordering a Vector or Arsenal. For all that, I could get an AR.

I dont have an AMD but I do have other products from Century and their quality is hit or miss. You spend your money you take your chances. Its an AK, it will always go bang, but the finish will likely be rough. If you want an underfolder your better off to buy a Polish parts kit, compliance parts, and build it yourself. The quaility will be better and the cost will be about the same as any of Centurys offerings.

Honestly, do you think you or your range buddies will care if the finish is rough when youre shooting an AMD-65 (looks positively bad ***!)?

A friend of mine has a WASR-10 from century and it works very well. The finish is rough, but the price was low and the cool factor was very high. Now, since the AMD is assembled at century instead of being imported all together, you might run into trouble. However, if you pay good money for it, the seller should make sure you get a functioning rifle.
