Haven't heard anything about them, yet -- but the Turkish gun industry is making some good guns.

Here's what their dealer site says:

Stingray-C Pistol, Cal. 9mm Para
Black chrome plated. Made in Turkey by Canik55, this pistol is very similar to the famous CZ75 pistol. Features include an ambidextrous safety lever and slide release, loaded chamber indicator, windage adjustable rear sight and an MILSTD1913 Picatinny rail. Comes with two 13 rd. mags., cleaning rod and plastic case. Barrel: 3.5″, Overall: 6.75″, Weight: 1.7 lbs. Not available for sale in CA; DC; HI; MA; Cook County, IL or where prohibited by law.
Price: $349.87

The fact that it uses 13-round mags suggests it's a COMPACT model, like the P-01. When you figure in shipping and dealer involvement, you're talking at least $400. I like that it's black (hard) chrome finished.

I'd be a little wary about buying a newly introduced type of gun from Century, as getting any kind of follow-up service may be problematic. They don't always keep an inventory of parts for the various guns they sell, and getting service elsewhere may be a problem.

A used CZ would be a less risky purchase, and you can certainly pick up a used Witness for that price or less (although EAA's reputation for service has been spotty, at best.)

----

Later addition:

I've since read good things about these guns, except that the distributor/importer closed out their inventory.

Don't know where you'll get parts or service. Some dealers will have them, so you're not limited to buying from Century Arms. There are several reviews of the Canik55, including on this forum -- and the the CZ forum. Everyone seems to like them.
