Okay Guys, I just picked up a Used Century Fal a couple of weeks ago. I got it to the range today and it shoots great. I know it is a widow's peak receiver. Here's my question. Did Century ever make a Metric FAL?
Everything I have read makes me believe that its an "inch" Fal, but I want to know for sure.

Thanks for your help.

Century made "frankenFALS" (I have one), inch parts on a metric receiver as well as metric/metric FALs (imbel receivers often). To my knowledge they never made an inch/inch.

I'm not sure if they all are marked here, but check the inside of the mag well -- the one I have and a couple others I've seen are marked "Metric" on the inside (left) side of the right wall of the mag well.

If you have any Inch mags, or access to them, you could also just see if the mag will fit in the weapon. If it's a metric receiver it shouldn't.

I have a Century L1A1 rifle, Mine takes the inch pattern mags which are somewhat different than the metric mags. They have a wider mag base and a welded on front hook.

Guys, I want to thank you all. You lead me to the answer. It was exactly what W.E.G. showed. It appears that I have a metric lower and a Inch upper.

Anyway, I appreciate the help.

Take Care.
